We are a small group of Magento engineers who have been building on the platform since 2013 — back when it was Magento 1. Over the years we shipped dozens of client stores and a growing library of internal modules. MageRa is the company we spun out to build, ship, and sell our own extensions: open-source core, Hyvä-native by default, and engineered with the same care we put into client work.

Built on 12+ years of Magento engineering, with zero-downtime upgrades and obsessive backward compatibility. We obsess over edge cases and the weird Magento 1 to Magento 2 migrations nobody talks about.

Every line of code is reviewed. Every UI surface passes our internal design system review. Every release ships with changelog, migration guide, and an upgrade video. Quality is not negotiable.

Started with Magento
Joined a Magento 1 agency, learned the platform by building custom stores and modules for European merchants. The work was deep, the codebase was unforgiving, and we loved it.
50+ stores shipped
Crossed 50 Magento 2 stores shipped. Our internal library of modules had grown into something other agencies kept asking to license — the first signal that the code we were writing had value beyond a single project.
The pivot to D2C
Helped hundreds of merchants move wholesale-to-D2C in a single quarter. Wrote the Magento 1 → 2 migration scripts that became the unofficial playbook for our peers.
Hyvä-native by default
Committed to building every module Hyvä-native from day one. PWA Studio and GraphQL coverage became a hard requirement, not a stretch goal.
